Business Analyst - San Francisco, NYC, Boston, DC or Atlanta
The Business Analyst–CAS joins a CAS engagement team on the strategic consulting engagements. The Business Analyst works with the CAS team to measuring resource and capacity utilization, forecasting new requirements in a virtualized and/or cloud environment, and mapping the business requirements of an organization. The Business Analyst is responsible for modeling the current state and future state of financial and organizational impact of proposed cloud services and virtualization technologies. The Business Analyst manages the Advisor Interview portion of the Virtustream Advisor, to collect business requirements and parameters within a client engagement.
A successful candidate will have previously worked in a technical sales support role in an IT service company, a systems integrator, or a cloud-oriented technology company, or was a business manager in an IT department at a Fortune 1000 company heavily using virtualized or cloud-based IT environment. The ideal candidate will be looking to work in a business-oriented client-facing role and develop their management consulting skills.
Essential Job Functions
- Financial analysis and modeling

- Functional requirements analysis and solution visioning
- Vendor/ Partner analysis and selection
- IT Implementation life-cycle planning
- MBA or other similar qualifications, with 2-5 years of experience
- Excellent business analysis and financial modeling skills
- Strong familiarity with the cost and operational models for implementing and/or operating IT infrastructure solutions, preferably involving virtualization and cloud technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics (status) of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences (technical and business)
- Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and approaches independently and apply those concepts to customers’ needs
- Ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
