Sandeep Sharma is the Executive Vice President of Virtustream’s Global Cloud Staging and Network delivery in EMEA. With qualifications in software and systems design and electrical, electronic and micro-electronic engineering, Sandeep has firsthand experience in designing and building highly resilient and efficient data centers and leading IT service delivery organizations.
Prior to becoming part of Virtustream, Sandeep was the founder Chairman and CEO of Network-i Limited, a UK based firm that provided leading edge services concentric to data centre services, global wide area network, IP video conferencing and managed systems hosting.
Before Network-i, Sandeep spent more than 20 years with start-up IT services companies that resulted in successful IPOs or acquisitions including Geonet, a firm specializing in delivering business integration and billing engine software for major corporations, the billing engine IPR later acquired as part of Geo Conference by Global Crossings Ltd., and Vossnet, one of the first Internet Service Providers in the UK the only company with a leading edge e commerce solution at the time. As the CEO of Vossnet, he was pivotal in taking the company through an IPO on the UK Stock Exchange.
